1. Trakai Island Castle
It is gothic style castle, which is located in Trakai city, on the lake of Galvės castle island. You can go to the castle by the bridge who is laid out between Trakai and Trakai island castle. The castle is built by the kings Kęstutis and Vytautas in 14-15 century. Nowadays castle is rebuilt and it is one of the most popular objects between tourist in Lithuania. In the castle you can find the museum, try to shoot from archery, to see middle ages fights or take a part in some festival.







2. Gediminas Castle


Gediminas castle was built by the Duke of Lithuania Gediminas. It was built on the Gediminas mountain. Nowadays from the castle has left only Gediminas castle tower. It is clearly visible from almost every place in Vilnius. You can rise to the mountain of Gediminas and visit tower by the funicular railway or climb by foot along the ancient cobbled path. From the top of the tower you can see old red Vilnius city's roofs, also nice panorama and the beauty of Vilnius city. 3. Raudondvaris Castle


Raudondvaris castle or in other words we can call it Raudondvaris manor house was built in the seventeenth century by Vaitiekus Dzevaltauskas. The mansion stood at the upper court of Nevėžis on the upper terrace, near the Nevėžis and Nemunas rivers. Now Raudondvaris castle is newly renovated, in the summer, greenery and flower beds were restored, where the old rose grown cherries returned to the manor house. Now you can get married in the manor house, attend to the concerts, commemorations of state days, also there is a restaurant. Also every year here people can attend to the events like: "Sidabrinės gervės naktys", "Valstybės dienos šventės" and etc. Raudondvaris manor house between tourists is becoming more and more popular.

4. Kaunas Castle

Kaunas castle as you understand from the name is located in Kaunas in the second by the size city of Lithuania. First mentioned in written sources in years of 1361. Kaunas Castle is the oldest murky castle in Lithuania and it was built by Germany enginers. From the years of 2011 Kaunas castle is Kaunas city department of the museum: here you can see historical exposition " Mosaic of the History of Kaunas Castle", attend to the excursion and educational programs, also you can see paintings, sculptures and other expositions. Also in the Castle, you can attend the cultural events.

5. Medininkai Castle


Medininkai castle is made up of four towers, 1,8-1,9 meters thickness and up to 15 meters high walls and controversial herbs. The main tower is about 30 meters high. From the historical sources, we can see that Castle was built in the fourteenth century, by the Grand Duke Gediminas. Nowadays in the main tower are built four exposition halls. Here you can find LDK XIV-XVIII age-fighting equipment, X-XX age silverware, also the president of Lithuania Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas hunting trophies and knives collection, which was donated by the relatives to the Trakai museum of History.
