Places to Visit in Stockholm
Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in the Nordic countries; 942,370 people live in the municipality, approximately 1.5 million in the urban area, and 2.3 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea.
Vasa Museum
The museum
displays the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been
salvaged, the 64-gun warship Vasa that sank on her voyage in 1628.
The Royal Palace
This Royal Palace one of the largest palaces in Europe! The Royal Palace is the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden, with over 600 rooms.
The Changing of the Guard Ceremony in the square of
Royal Palace
The ceremony is scheduled to start at noon. When I was in
Stockholm it started around 12:15. Get there early. because the square isn’t all
that large, if you arrive right at 12:15 you might not find a good viewing spot
so it is recommended to come a little before 12:00.
Stockholm City Hall
It houses offices and conference rooms as well as
ceremonial halls, and the luxury restaurant Stadshuskällaren. It is the venue of the Nobel Prize Banquet
and is one of Stockholm's major tourist attractions.
In conclusion, Stockholm has many beautiful places to visit.
