Interesting Places to Visit in Egypt You Probably Didn't Know

Unless today is very popular to choose some Asian countries for beloved holidays, but you can't forget about all the time hot Africa. Today we will talk more about one of my favorite country in Africa - Egypt. When you say Egypt it is always Pyramides and Safari in front of your eyes, but without these top destinations, there are hundreds more of them in this Arabian country.

1. Aswan

Aswan is one of the quietest town in Egypt. If you need a rest from vibrant cities, crowds of people traffics you must visit this town, at least for one day. Here you can ride a camel to the desert monastery of St. Simeon on the East Bank. Also, you could drink endless cups of Arabian tea on the riverboat restaurants. Unless there are lots of historical sites to visit here but watching how the river life goes by is the most popular. 


2. White Desert

Egypt's strangest natural wonderland could be called the White Desert. There are chalk mountains what looks like a real snow in the middle of the arid sand. It sounds natural, but in Africa, it's very strange. The landscapes here are just breathtaking and insist to be pictured.


3. Alexandria

If you feel that it's to much Arabian culture during your holidays, you could escape for one day to Alexandria. It is the most European city in Egypt and with very interesting and colorful historical past which is hard to find an equivalent for. Also, Alexandria was the home of Cleopatra. So, this is the best place for aimless strolling along the seashore Corniche, café-hopping, and souk shopping.


4. St. Catherine's Monastery

This monastery is one of the oldest in the world. This desert monastery is home to an incredible collection of religious iconography, art, and manuscripts as well as the home of the burning bush. The trip for visitors who would love to visit this monastery also involves a hike up to Mount Sinai to see sunrise or sunset.
